The classy way to wear cheetah print

Against my husband’s advice (but with the support of my friend, Maddie), I decided to buy a $9 fluffy cheetah coat on Depop. It came with free shipping, so I was like, “Okay, I’ll take a $9 risk and test out the cheetah-print trend.”

I bought the coat (obviously) and so far, it’s pretty great. It’s sassy, yet neutral; sophisticated, yet grunge. This furry bundle of fluff was a good use of $9, and I think I can officially say I’m a cheetah girl.

Basically, this coat fits with every outfit combination. It’s perfect over a daytime outfit (like this one) or a fancy night out (with a black dress, heels).

Versatile pieces are my favorite thing. Yeah, there’s something totally romantic about a glamorous, floor-length Oscar de la Renta gown, but you can’t wear that to your 9:15 office meeting.

Because I value versatility, I tend to gravitate towards plain, un-patterned pieces. It’s a good tendency, but I also don’t want to be a wallflower, ya know? Sometimes I need to remind myself that black isn’t the only color out there.

I’m still learning how to create a balanced wardrobe of classic yet iconic pieces, but I think buying this cheetah coat was a move in the right direction.

Also, yes. I did plop down on the floor inside the cutest bookstore. Only true readers understand how comfy the floor inside a bookstore is.
