There's An App for That

There's An App for That

There's something really trill about an app that can help you do something you didn't even know you needed help with, and I would like to give a shout of praise for them today. I'm just as in love with Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram as the next person, but today I decided to branch out beyond the Trifecta of Apps and tell you guys about some other really awesome apps that can make your everyday life just a little bit easier.

Nike+ Training and Nike+ Running apps-

I'm pretty much the opposite of everyone when it comes to training and running: I love to run and hate to lift weights. These two apps are pretty much essential to my workout schedule because the training app keeps me working out even when I REALLY don't want to and the running app encourages me to achieve new goals.

ShopStyle-

ShopStyle is like that friend you have who has super squinty eyes because all they do is stare at their computer screen for multiple hours a day, but unlike your friend, ShopStyle is only interested in what you're interested in-- i.e. your fave brands/stores and where the good sales are. It compares prices at all of your favorite stores, letting you know whose got the best deals and also let's you set up Sale Alerts on items you like.

VSCO cam--

VSCO cam is my favorite editing app right now. I love to edit as soon as I take a good photo, and VSCO makes it easy because you can save your favorite editing options to use later. I love finding a versatile filter that works for everything, so having the option to save it and not go through the process of editing every single photo is perfect for me.

Zillow--

I have this obsession with looking at real estate, and Zillow is my number 1 partner in crime. It's so informative and lets you filter the real estate options you see based on the year built, square footage, bedrooms and bathrooms, and home type.

Toilet Finder--

This app is so necessary when you're on vacation or in an unfamiliar setting. It literally maps out where the closest bathroom is and RATES it for you based on cleanliness, accessibility, and cost (applicable for our European friends).

Foodie--

We all have that one friend who consistently posts pictures of their food on social media. Well, Foodie was literally created with those people in mind. It's an editing app designed specifically to edit pictures of food, equipped with special "food-friendly" filters.

Guides by Lonely Planet--

Guides by Lonely Planet contains all the travel information you will ever need. This app has inside scoop on every city in the world, with trustworthy information and recommendations provided by locals. All you have to do is pick a city and the travel guide immediately downloads, then you literally have insider access to the local hotspots.

Duolingo-

This is--in my opinion--the most novel, yet practical app on the market. Duolingo uses common phrases and repetition in order to teach you a new language. It's ingenious, it's easy, and there's a super cute green owl involved.
