Last July, I created a reputation for myself around the office. Fresh out of college and frazzled at being jobless for two dismal months, I was thrilled to have somewhere to go during the day, especially somewhere as cool as my office. The first week was a whirlwind of on-boarding and shaking hands and signing documents, but by Thursday, I felt settled in my new space. I had friends and a stocked kitchen. Nothing could be better.
Then I met Omar, my coworker/kind of my boss. And Omar said, “Oh, you’re the girl who dresses like she’s from the seventies!”
Oh yes, my white wide legged pants had earned me a reputation around the office. Spot-on.
So this year I bought another pair of wide legged pants, because some reputations are worth having. This pair from Gap is great, because they’re made of thick cotton that stretches. I ordered a size down (& petite), because my usual size was too baggy. Also, I definitely didn’t purchase them full-price—Gap has 40% off sales all the time.
