My favorite thrift store jacket + thrift stores I love
I’m sitting on my couch watching the first sappy Christmas movie of the year, trying to ignore the fact that it was 68 degrees today in Tulsa. The Midwest is so unpredictable, but that won’t keep me from wearing layers and making the most out of this November.
I love thrifting. Some of my favorite clothes are pieces I’ve found at estate sales and thrift stores in Tulsa, like this vintage hunter jacket. I picked it up back in October at one of my favorite thrift stores in Tulsa, the Sobo Co.. I’ve been waiting for the perfect crisp fall day to break it out, and, in between all of these 60 degree days, we’ve actually had a few!
My dad and I could spend hours sifting through random stuff
Thrifting in Tulsa is almost too easy. There are so many great stores that all specialize in different shopping experiences. Some of my favorite stores are the ones that focus on upscale designer resale. Here’s a list of great thrift stores in Tulsa and online:
The Sobo Co. - The Sobo Co. is all about upscale resale and classic finds. From vintage Gucci belts to 80s blazers, there’s always something exciting and beautiful to buy here.
Local estate sales are my favorite place to hunt for clothes. My favorite LBD, pictured here on my Instagram, is a piece my dad and I found at an estate sale in Midtown for less than $10. It’s my go-to event dress.
Barnaby Jack has great vintage clothes and accessories that center around minimalist, boho-style. I always get excited when I see that they’ve updated their Instagram stories, because they post a lot of their pieces there!
Goodwill - None of us will ever be too good for Goodwill. Plus, “fill a bag for $5” day is the ultimate deal.
My Marc Fisher over-the-knee boots are on constant rotation during the fall and winter. They pair so easily with every outfit, and can instantly dress up a pair of jeans. I’ve link some similar pairs below, including a cute Vince Camuto pair that is under $70, and a Charles David pair under $60.
Happy November!
