Summer Weddings: What To Wear.

| Dress: TOBI | Shoes: Call It Spring (old) | Purse: Coach (old) |

It's almost June, which means that wedding season has arrived!

I love summer weddings, but one thing I absolutely cannot stand is sweating while wearing nice clothes. Especially when you're at an event like a wedding where pictures are constantly being taken, it's a pain to constantly fussing over your outfit and hair. Seriously! It takes away so much of the enjoyment of the day.

I have two weddings to attend in the next week and for a little while, I was honestly dreading choosing an outfit/doing my hair so much, because I've always struggled with being super uncomfortable in dressy clothes during the summer months, plus I have naturally curly hair that, on bad days, very much resembles Dolly Parton's wild locks in Steel Magnolias (on good days, it's more of a Baby from Dirty Dancing-vibe) but I think I've found a solution + a few helpful tips for picking a summer wedding outfit.

1. Choose a light material.

It's all about the material! You want to choose a fabric that you're comfortable with and doesn't smother you. The dress I'm wearing above is made of a light Georgette fabric that breathes easily. Chiffon, linen, and chambray are three other great choices. I'm loving this one shoulder seersucker dress; it would be perfect for a hot summer wedding!

2. Wear your hair up.

Hair will always be the best accessory, so make sure you choose a style that coordinates with your outfit. For my hair, I did a low fishtail braid and tucked the end in so that it has more of an "updo" feel. It looks super fancy, but it was a breeze to pull off! Other timeless hairstyles you can try are topknots (chic and smooth, or messy and wild) and french twists!

3. Keep accessories minimal.

Instead of loading up on jewelry--which inevitably comes off because HOT--opt for accessorizing with your shoes and purse. Choose a statement shoe and bag that tie your outfit together, like these platform espadrilles, or these precious clogs

How are you coping with the super hot weather?

Love love love,
