Fall Fashion Trends.
According to the date (September 22), it is officially the fall season, but the weather in Tulsa seems to disagree. It's ninety and sunny here, and I'm literally over it. I love summer--it really is my favorite season--but the heat has definitely overstayed its welcome this year.
So, I've decided to usher in fall by writing about the newest fall fashion trends, because, as we all know, the best thing about fall is the fashion (and the coffee, even more so than usual).
If you enjoy blending in, but also standing out...
[ camel ]
Or, as I like to call it, fancy tan. Lol. Camel is great because it's a neutral color that can easily be worn as a statement piece.
If you're all about the cozy parts of fall...
[ wool ]
Wool is absolutely necessary for fall (and winter). Hello, warmth! Sometimes real wool can get pretty pricey, but if you keep tabs on your favorites, you're bound to catch a good deal sooner or later.
If you like things a little funky...
[ plaid ]
Okay, when I say plaid, I don't just mean 'plaid flannels.' There's so much more to plaid than just flannels and uniform skirts! There are midi skirts, kimonos, coats, and dresses that come in some amazing, somewhat vintage-styled plaids.
if you want to branch out, but you're afraid...
[ gray ]
Gray will never not be a great color. It's like black's less-harsh sister. There are always fresh ways to wear it, too!
If you like to live a little wild...
[ metallic ]
Metallics are the most fun, and also the most edgy. It's perfect in small doses, but not so much when you go overboard. The best part about metallics is that you can display them! Who said fashion has to be wearable?
If you shop at your grandma's house...
[ velvet ]
Velvet has a special place in my heart. I love how old-fashioned (and comfy) it is.
If the '90s were your peak...
[ mock necks ]
Yes, yes, yes. The turtleneck is making a comeback, but that's only because of its cousin, the mock neck, and its extreme style.
Waiting for fall.
